With the dust settling on the season we now look towards 2019 and beyond with plans for the series and permit applications needed to be sorted.

Can I ask if you have any issues or suggestions you would like to be considered for 2019 can you please contact your driver rep. There will shortly be a committee meeting to discuss plans for 2019 and we would like your input. For the Tricolore that’s Tony Hunter, for the Nippon Challenge that’s Jon Lord (was retired driver but threatening to make a comeback in 2019) and for the 206GTi Cup that’s Jason Jesse.

As regards the race schedule for 2019 from where we are now I would not expect a calendar until the end of November. We will, however, be aiming to deliver the same format as in past years. That is qualifying plus two races on the same day. Seven series events plus the Autumn Trophy between March/April to October. To avoid if possible going to the same circuit more than once. Most of you will know by now Rockingham will not be an option.

Whilst at this stage I do not know what the circuit hire costs will be I do not anticipate any changes in the club’s fees. Club membership at £25, series registration at £125, and entry fees at £330 per event.

Can I ask you all now the season over to post on the club’s and individual series Facebook pages, with any comments about the past season, your high lights, favourite circuit, maybe thank you sponsor for their support recommending their services, plus any any action pics, plans for 2019, change of car maybe, new sponsors coming on board etc. I have been told by many that Facebook is the best means of marketing and spreading good news these days so let us use it to the max.

As a final reminder, the awards dinner is on Sat 27 October. There are still a few tickets left if you’re thinking about it. Why not bring your family and friends for a good night out?
